1. Overview
The Optimus Command Table is a live, AI-backed performance command center that gives organizations real-time business visibility, connecting every KPI to financial impact and immediate action.
It merges visibility, quantification, and execution into one closed, intelligent workspace — showing leaders where they stand, what each performance gap costs, and what to do next.
The Command Table updates automatically at least once per day (recommended twice daily) to maintain continuous situational awareness. Every KPI change is instantly reflected in the Overall Business Performance (OBP) dial and Loss Quantifier.
This is not a dashboard — it’s an operational control room designed for companies that move fast, demand precision, and expect measurable ROI.
2. Layout and Key Sections
Header Bar
- Optimus: Opens the embedded AI assistant (Optimus) inside the panel for immediate analysis, scenario planning, or next-step drafting.
- Focus: Toggles Focus Mode ON or OFF. When ON, it ranks the top 3–4 KPIs needing immediate attention.
- Thresh: Adjusts the Focus threshold (60, 70, or 80).
- History: Opens the 30-day log of all KPI edits, actions, and ownership changes.
Overall Business Performance (OBP) Dial
- Displays the company’s current overall performance score on a 0–100 scale.
- Aggregates all active KPIs, weighted by importance.
- Includes a 30-day sparkline trend line that auto-refreshes daily.
- Colors change dynamically to indicate performance health (green/yellow/red).
Loss Quantifier
- Converts each performance gap into real-dollar terms of cost and profit opportunity per year, month, and week.
- Requires two simple financial inputs: Annual Revenue and Gross Margin %.
- Updates automatically with every KPI adjustment.
- Displays the financial cost of inefficiency and the potential profit from improvement.
Directly below the Loss Quantifier is a guiding line:
“To capitalize on opportunities for growth, improvement and optimization ask Optimus for help.”
Focus Bar
- Appears when Focus Mode is ON.
- Lists the 3–4 lowest-performing KPIs (weighted by impact).
- Each Focus chip displays the KPI name, score, and owner. Click a chip to open and edit that KPI immediately.
Owner Strip
- Displays all departments (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Inventory, Sales, Delivery, Customer Service, Finance, People).
- Each owner chip shows:
- KPI – total KPIs under that department
- Open – KPIs with at least one open action
- Debt – total weighted performance gap across those KPIs
- Click any owner chip to filter the grid view to that department.
- This section provides instant accountability and transparency at the leadership level.
KPI Grid
- The main workspace listing every KPI as a live dial.
- Each card shows:
- KPI name and color-coded dial
- Status indicators (Focus, stale data, missing target, out of range)
- Sparkline chart (30-day mini-trend)
- Controls: ON/OFF toggle, Action Board button, Ask (Optimus prompt), and Grip (drag to reorder).
- The grid updates in real time whenever data changes or filters are applied.
3. Real-Time Visibility and Updates
The Command Table provides real-time visibility into business performance.
- KPI values can be updated anytime — changes apply instantly.
- The system performs at least one full automatic refresh per day and is designed for twice-daily updates to reflect active shift performance.
- The OBP dial and Loss Quantifier recalculate automatically with each change, giving leaders live visibility into performance and financial impact.
- Focus Mode and the Owner Strip also update dynamically with every save, toggle, or edit.
4. Editing and Customizing KPIs
All KPIs are fully editable and customizable directly in the Command Table — no coding or backend access required.
To edit or customize a KPI:
- Click the KPI dial or title to open the Edit Panel.
- Adjust any parameter:
- Active / Inactive
- Name or Department
- Value and Target
- Polarity (high_good, low_good, range_good)
- Floor and Ceiling (limits)
- Weight (importance level)
- Color, ring width, and needle dimensions
- Click Save to apply immediately.
- The OBP dial, Loss Quantifier, and Focus calculations update instantly.
Custom KPI Creation or Repurposing
- Any existing KPI can be repurposed by renaming it and updating its attributes.
- You can reorder KPIs using the “Grip” control at the bottom of each card.
- KPIs persist locally in the browser; each version saves automatically.
White Label Ready
- The Command Table can be fully branded for partners, clients, or enterprise accounts.
- Logos, color themes, and department naming conventions are customizable.
- Available as a white-label product from Strateia, deployable per client with unique namespaces and secure data isolation.
5. Focus Mode
Purpose: Focus Mode highlights where leadership attention is needed most.
- Automatically identifies the top 3–4 KPIs performing below the set threshold.
- KPIs are ranked by weighted deficit (weight × (100 − score)).
- These appear as Focus chips above the grid for fast access.
- Focus badges (⚠︎) also appear on those KPI cards for visibility in the main grid.
6. Corrective Actions and Lock-In Wins
Every KPI has a linked Action Board.
- Click Action on any KPI card, or let the system open it automatically when major performance shifts occur.
- Automatic triggers:
- A drop of −10 points or more opens the Corrective Action editor.
- A gain of +10 points or more opens a Lock-In Win editor.
- These triggers ensure that positive and negative swings are always captured and acted on immediately.
Inside the Action Board
- Root Cause: Why the issue occurred.
- Action: The fix or improvement step.
- Owner: The person responsible.
- Due Date: When the action must be completed.
- Click Add to log the entry — it appears instantly below with timestamp.
Action List Management
- Each action shows its status (Open or Done).
- Click Mark Done to close or Reopen to track follow-up work.
- Actions save automatically and persist locally until cleared.
7. Accountability and the Owner Strip
The Owner Strip consolidates departmental accountability:
- KPI count – how many metrics the department owns.
- Open – how many have active, open actions.
- Debt – total performance gap (weighted deficit).
This lets leadership see at a glance who owns what, which areas need help, and where performance debt is concentrated.
Departments can be clicked to filter the grid view, creating a fast, targeted review tool during team huddles or leadership meetings.
8. History Log and Audit Trail
Click History in the header to open a 30-day rolling log of all edits, actions, and ownership changes.
- View every event timestamped with KPI name, owner, event type, and notes.
- Filter by department using the Owner/Dept dropdown.
- Includes KPI edits, added actions, completed actions, reorders, and seeding events.
- Provides transparency and traceability for performance management and audits.
9. Aging Prompts and Reminders
The system continuously monitors KPI health.
If a KPI remains below target and has no open action logged:
- After 12 hours, a soft notification appears prompting review.
- After 24 hours, the Action editor opens automatically with a suggested due date seven days ahead.
This ensures no issue sits idle and drives real-time responsiveness between updates.
10. Integration with Optimus
Every KPI includes an embedded Optimus prompt accessible via the 🤖 Askbutton.
- Clicking it opens Optimus directly within the app.
- Optimus uses the KPI’s context (value, target, weight, owner, and performance trend) to generate recommended next steps.
- Examples: root-cause plans, recovery strategies, communication drafts, meeting follow-ups.
- This transforms insights into immediate, intelligent actions guided by your AI strategist.
11. Data, Security, and Privacy
- All data is stored locally in your browser under your unique namespace.
- No data leaves your machine unless manually exported.
- Clearing browser cache resets all KPIs and actions.
- Built with Privacy-by-Design and Canadian ITSG-33 / PBMM alignment.
- Audit-ready and compliant for internal and government environments.
12. Real-Time Business Visibility
The Command Table delivers live situational awareness:
- Every KPI update instantly recalculates OBP, Loss Quantifier, and Focus.
- The system automatically refreshes at least once daily, but performs best when data is refreshed twice daily (for example, mid-shift and end-of-day).
- Leadership gains a continuous view of business health, financial impact, and progress across all departments.
- The dashboard is designed to support daily operations, performance reviews, and executive decision-making in real time.
13. Maintenance, Backups, and Versioning
- Auto-save: All edits persist immediately.
- Daily Snapshot: OBP and KPI values record once per day to power the sparkline trend.
- Version control: Each release includes a version key (APP_VER) that automatically clears outdated data while preserving your current structure.
- Manual backup: Copy the localStorage key obs_kpi_v9_30d to export data.
- Re-seed: Clear data and reload to reinitialize KPI defaults for new clients or pilots.
14. Customization and White Label Deployment
The Command Table is completely customizable.
- Modify KPI names, colors, departments, weights, and layouts directly from the interface.
- Add or remove sections by editing the HTML file — no external dependencies.
- Fully white-label ready from Strateia:
- Replace branding, colors, and departments.
- Deploy one instance per client or business unit.
- Data stays sandboxed to each client.

15. Troubleshooting
- KPI not updating: Ensure it’s Active (ON).
- Focus chips missing: All KPIs meet threshold — lower the Thresh setting.
- Data missing: Browser cache was cleared; re-seed the table.
- No OBP sparkline: The OBP trend auto-seeds within 24 hours after first use.
- Action Board not opening: Check pop-up blockers or click the KPI dial manually.
- Slow load: Reduce total KPI count or clear unused history keys.
